We are excited to announce that our CEO, Manzil Maqsood, has been selected as one of the winners of the 2024 Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) Alumni Community Engagement Fund (ACEF)! Over the next nine months, Manzil will join a select group of dedicated alumni who will lead impactful, community-focused initiatives across the Commonwealth.
The CSC Alumni Community Engagement Fund is designed to support projects that drive meaningful change at the grassroots level. By addressing themes like resilient societies, youth engagement, ocean conservation, and disability inclusion, ACEF empowers Commonwealth Alumni to make significant contributions to their communities.
✨ Manzil e Maqsood Leading Youth for Sustainable Development
Manzil, a 2007 Commonwealth Shared Scholar from Pakistan, will spearhead the “Youth for Sustainable Development” initiative. This dynamic program features a model Conference of Parties (COP) activity tailored for youth aged 14 to 18 years, inspiring them to engage with global climate challenges through critical thinking, negotiation, and leadership.
Manzil’s initiative will cultivate the next generation of climate leaders by fostering dialogue on sustainable solutions, equipping young minds with the tools to make a real difference. Her leadership reflects our commitment at Oxbridge to driving educational innovation and empowering youth.
Manzil says, “I’m honored to be part of this initiative, which not only highlights the urgent need for climate action but also emphasizes the importance of youth engagement in shaping a sustainable future.”
We are immensely proud of Manzil’s achievement and look forward to witnessing the incredible impact she will bring to this transformative journey. Stay connected with us to follow her progress and the inspiring work of all ACEF organizers.
Congratulations to Manzil and all the incredible alumni making a difference through ACEF 2024!
