An initiative of Oxbridge Innovatives, Makerspace Islamabad visited the Mashal Model School in Bari Imam Islamabad, a self-funded school that aims to provide education to underprivileged students in the area. The STEAM Team demonstrated how science can be used purposefully, such as using solar power to generate electricity, producing bio-gas at home, learning how to make a water filtration plant with everyday materials and understanding how sound works by making string telephones. The team was joined by Mr. Marc George, the Ambassador of Switzerland where he too participated in activities with the children.
