Makerspace Islamabad is under the umbrella of Oxbridge Innovative Solutions is the first of its kind social enterprise dedicated to taking science education to a whole new level in Pakistan. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Camps are held in various schools, where students worke together to stimulate their thinking, reasoning, teamwork and creative skills.
“Our vision is to incorporate STEAM intensive curriculum in primary schools”, the director of Makerspace Islamabad Miss Manzil – e –Maqsood remarked while elaborating on the concept of governing STEAM Camp.
Innovation is believed to be tightly coupled with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), STEM is based on skills using generally the left-half of the brain and is thus, logic driven.
Two successful STEAM Camps were held at Annie’s Early Learning Center and Friends Pre School and Activity Center.
